The MICHAEL FOUNDATION is launching a scholarship program that young neurologists (up to the age of 40) from Germany and Italy can use for 6 months to gain further qualifications at a renowned epileptology department in the other country.
These fellowships are named after two 20th-century epileptologist friends from Italy (Raffaele Canger, 1938-2019) and Germany (Dieter Janz, 1920-2016); both intensively promoted the development of young people in their countries and international exchange.
For 2023, the scholarship is being advertised for a German participant to stay at the Dipartimento Interaziendale di Diagnostica Epilettologica in Milan (headed by Prof. Dr. Maria Paola Canevini).

The start and end of the six-month stay will be agreed between the hostess and the scholarship holder.
Applications, including the necessary documents, must be received by the MICHAEL FOUNDATION by March 31st 2023.
Knowledge of Italian language is not a requirement, but mastery of English is required.
The amount of a scholarship is € 2,000 per month,
if required, a one-off travel allowance of up to € 300 can be granted.
The duration of the scholarship is a maximum of 6 months.
